Modify Elementor Template
All sites have a Header, Footer, and Page template. Some sites will also have a Search Results template and a 404 template. Only sites that have a blog will have a Post Archive and a Single Post template. Sites with events will have an events template, and sites with WooCommerce products will have a products template. If you need to change the design of a template, from the Dashboard menu, mouse over “Elementor” and then click “Theme Builder”. On the Theme Builder page, scroll down and click the “Switch to table view” link [simply because the “Theme Builder” view doesn’t allow you to make a backup of a template].
Always make a backup of any template before modifying the original template. Mouse over the title of the template and click the link below the title that says “Duplicate This”. You will then see a new template in the template list with that template’s name, but the status is Draft. Keep this template as a backup until you know that your edits to the original template work.
Now, mouse over the template you want to modify and click the link below the title that says “Edit”. Click the blue Edit with Elementor button. You edit a template the same way you edit an Elementor Page. Once you have finished modifying the template, click the pink Publish button in the upper right corner.
You can also change which pages that use the template. Click the pink down arrow in the upper right corner and select “Display Conditions”.
