Elementor uses the term “Container” to represent both parent containers and child containers (think of these as rows and columns). Originally, Elementor used the terms “Section” and “Column”. Also, the popup layer panel is “Structure”, whereas originally, it was called “Navigator”. If your site is older, it will use the original terms.
Elementor Elements
The design panel on the left lists the over 100 design elements that Elementor offers. The most commonly used elements are Text Editor, Heading, Button, Image, Image Gallery, Icon List, Testimonial, Shortcode, and Form.
If you don’t see the Element choices, click the Plus (+) icon in the top left of the screen (next to the Elementor logo).
Add or Delete Elements
To add a new element to your page, either search for the element in the search box on the left-side design panel or scroll through the elements until you see the one you want to use. Then drag the element onto your page.
To delete an element from the page (without deleting the container), right-click the pink pencil icon in the upper right corner of the element on the page and select Delete from the popup menu. You can also delete an element by using the Structure popup menu.
Container Direction
When adding an additional element to a container that already has an existing element, you need to pay attention to the container’s direction. If you want the elements to stack vertically in the container, be sure the container direction (Item Direction) is set to vertical.
